Hello all,
I picked up a Hi-Matic 9 for a couple dollars the other day. It functions properly, but the rangefinder glass is broken in the top corner. I've never taken a camera apart before, but I figured this would be a good practice project. So far, I've taken off the two screws on the top cover, and from there, well, I'm kind of lost. Does anyone know what is holding it on?

The rewind lever must be unscrewed. This is done by opening the back, holding the rewind shaft still using a screwdriver in the fork, and unscrewing the rewind knob from the top. The advance lever also has a retaining ring that holds the top in place. You can use a fine pair of needle nosed pliers as a Spanner to undo the top.
