I shot my first roll of B&W film in many years over the weekend and took it to the local photo shop to be developed and scanned. I have a couple of "newbie" questions when it comes to this method:
1) In the US, what is a reasonable sum to pay for developing, HI res scan to CD and negatives? No prints made. It was 24 exposure Tri-X.
2) The images on the disc look acceptable. By that I mean there is no noticeable grain. However, when I import them into Aperture, they are as grainy as can be...look nothing like the images read directly from the disc. The disc is jpeg and each file is about 6 mb. Any thoughts on why they look crappy in Aperture?
Thanks in advance
Bob
