High flash voltage

I was wondering if anyone knows if my new Fuji GW670 MK3 would be damaged if I used my 20year old Metz 45 CT1 flashgun which has a high trigger voltage

I just bought one of those a few days ago on an auction site for $10. Pretty nice flash.

I think I read somewhere that you should only be using this flash with fully mechanical cameras.

I have a Metz 45 CT-4; the trigger voltage measures at 7 volts. Safe enough for my dSLR.

edit: mine was a bargain too - a gift from a friend! :)

Second edit - update - with freshly charged batteries, the trigger voltage reads 12.1 volts.
