I'd like your opinons on what may be the C-41 film/s with the highest possible resolution and finest grain for landscape photography.

I realise slide film is a better choice in many ways, but I'd prefer to stick with negative film for the moment.

Thanks very much for your input.

Fuji Reala 100 is one of the finest-grained films I've used lately. Excellent colour saturation too.

The discontinued Konica Impressa 50 was hard to beat and I still miss it.

Granted I know you want to stay away from slide film, I won't lie, you can't beat it. Especially for landscape, it's amazing stuff. Price wise you can find unboxed slide film for no more than C-41 film on freestyle. Sorry for suggesting something despite what you requested but you can't beat slide flm.

Ilford XP2 IMO, if you like your landscapes in B+W

I personally love XP2 but would never decribe it as a high resolution or very sharp film.

As far as the best resolution I have no idea, but I find less contrasty negative films scan better. Here is an example of Reala with a crop. Picture was taken on Isla Mujeres (the eastern most point in Mexico) with a Minilux scanned with a Minolta Scan Dual III.
