But also see the recent thread "I'm mad as hell....". I love Hipstamatic, but I wish it could apply the effects to photos already taken. Haven't used it in a while as I don't necessarily want only the H version of a shot. Hopefully someone will now tell me I've missed a functionality here.

I used to use Hipstamatic a lot, but the slow processing time between shots frustrated me. Now that I have an iPhone 4, I just use the regular camera app to take pictures and then process them later using the Tiltshift Generator app or Instagram.
That said, I've got many good pictures using Hipstamatic. My iPhone 3GS was actually my only digital camera when I took a holiday to Beijing last year.

Enjoy Life.
If you like Hispamatic, try SwankoLab. You "print" your pics by choosing faux chemicals. Fun.

I've been using it for a while now. It's a lot of fun.
The company that makes Hipstamatic also makes an app called Swankolab . It allows you to take existing images and run them through different "chemistry". You process your image in a virtual developing tray and it even let's you agitate the print.

Download the new update. It really speeds thing up. You can shoot up to 9 images in rapid succession and it processes them in the background.

For this, try the app called Lo-Mob. You can apply a good number of effects after the fact, onto images made with the phone's regular camera.
I have no connection or interest in the app.
Hipstamatic is a fun toy. I look at it as a sort of visual doodle pad, and a way to think about making images even more often!

I've had the hipstamatic since it came out; used it a bit, but I'd rather use the real thing (film)! The iPhone is the only digital "camera" I currently own, but I just use the built in app as I'm not usually taking any important photos with it.

second this. Hipstamatic 200 fixes the long waiting (in between shots). am using full resolution files, and old iPhone 3G.

An old iPhone 3G? Now that says something doesn't it.
