Hello all.
I joined this forum today in order to ask the following questions....
(it's a bit mercenary I know but bear with me please)
I have my father's Hiyoca Rangefinder Camera. The Rangefinder
does not appear to operate so focus is by guesswork.
Are the any tips or clues on how to free the mechanism?
How much does the camera have to be dismantled to get at the focus mechanism?
Unpacked it today after many years stuck away in a drawer.
Thank you in advance.

Just looked at a photo of one, and it appears that you need to take the front plate off the get the top off. This would entail removing the lens/shutter assembly. Once you get past that, then look for a stuck actuator lever due to dried grease. But maybe the top will come off without removing the front plate. I just saw a front and top view, and they were not very definitive. But having taken apart a Kalimar A, it looked to be of similar construction to your Hiyoca, only another step down in quality.
