Lovely old kodachrome images from a new book - It still amazes me, to see images over 50 years old in such stunning, vivid detail.

They just don't make stuff like that anymore. I mean movie stars, glamour portraits and Kodachrome. Now it's jerks, street snaps of jerks (in sunglasses) shopping, and cell phones uploads.

Sad to say you're rght but those are beautiful images.

The original asa10 Kodachrome was the prettiest IMO, much prettier than the later versions. Unfortunately I never shot any but my father did. By the time I started shooting color in the mid 60's Kodachrome II and X were out. Kodachrome II asa25 was nice but Kodachrome X asa64 had a salmon tint to everything. Ektachrome X was nice but the Ektachrome professional was really pretty with a very soft palate of colors. Unlike the vivid colors of Kodachrome asa10, Ektachrome Professional had beautiful delicate pastels. Green grass and blue skies were beautiful. Ski tones were ri h and warm. I'll age to look and see if I have some that hasn't faded and do a scan.

Beautiful. Pains me that I never got a chance to use it. The Green Sweater is such a striking portrait, I love that shot.
