As we know, Lynx 5000 has special lens barrel - filter thread is surrounded by outer metal ring so mounting screw-in 46mm hood it's base can (depend on shape of hood) press against outer metal ring and make speeds hard to change. Easy to work around - don't screw in hood until end or loosen it before changing speed and fasten again, but...but...I'm kind of nerd, right?
There are original Yashica's rubber slip-on 54mm hoods. I saw them but let'em go. Later I managed to get 54mm slip-on metal Petri hood. It fits 5000 very good. While those original metal hoods maybe aren't perfect at blocking stray light (they are shorter considering depth of filter), they do most of job and don't block VF.
Probably some other manufacturers also made 54mm slip-on hoods.
And that Petri hood fits also Petri 7s - with a single shot I've nailed two bunnies
"It's Suntory time!"...it's time go out and take pics.
