I have happily bought and sold several things through the classifieds here at RFF and hope to do much more in the future. One thing I have always found difficult is leaving feedback. In the past it seems I have been able to figure it out but in all the transactions I have had no one has ever left me any feedback. I can only assume that this is due to the difficulty of the task because everyone I have ever sold anything to seems to be quite genuinely happy. Now I have just sold two cameras and would like to leave feedback on the prompt payment and good communication of the buyers and I find that I can no longer figure out how to do it. What is the secret..... am I just chasing my tail? ( i really want these people to be able to leave some for me too)

I'm not a big fan of feedback threads. If that's the only mechanism, fine; but if you already have an effective (albeit VERY un-user-friendly) rating system in place, why not learn how to exploit it?

First, keep in mind that RFF is set up with two profiles for every user...one for the forum and one for the classifieds. The common link to them is the UID (user ID). There are various ways to access your UID, but I just use the URL from the forum profiles. This is mine: http://rangefinderforum.com/forums/member.php?u=34274 ; my UID is 34274. Without getting too wordy, I'll just give you my classifieds profile: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost-classifieds/member.php/uid/34274 . You can access my feedback from there.

Probably the least technical way to remember this is to save your classified URL (or feedback URL) in a text file for future use and replace the UID as necessary.

MISH, your UID is 11470. Try it out… replace my UID with yours and see what pops up.

My advice is to always include the URL from your feedback page in your classifieds post as well as in correspondence with the buyer/seller.
