How does one focus the Plaubel Makina?

The shutter button doubles as the focus mechanism as it has a rubber knurled grip - very fast and smooth. Small button below on rear of camera activates the 5 degree spot meter.

Why don't my friends give me a $1000+ camera as a present?! :bang:

this is maybe I gift. . . . I don't have the money though. I have to think about it.

It would be for my cousin.

When I get money. I was just looking at one online and got curious. Someday I plan on buying this guy a camera. He's got the bug, he's just never had a good camera.

I am also considering going with a Bessa or a Mamiya 645 camera. I want something rugged, though. I'm not sure about how tough the Makina is. No AF, though. I want something manual focus, medium format. And small. He travels all over the world, so it would be good to get something that can take a beating, performs reliably, and takes good pictures. Hasselblad, obviously. . . .
