M7 on eBay here http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-new-Leica...ryZ15234QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Listing is one day in sterling. All previous feedback for kids clothes and household stuff in $ - so warning bells! List says items include 50 lux, 35 lux and 75 lux. More bells!
No Paypal only credit card. Very loud bells.

The bit I haven't seen before is For any information regarding the reserve on this item, purchase and shipping options please click to talk with me now :

Do not bid until we have made contact. If you email me at the address above you will have an answer in max. 30 min.

It has all the hallmarks of a hi jacked account but why only 1 day and contact before bid?

I'm guessing 1 day because the guy is nervous about his exposure, wants to do it quick. Contact first, maybe he'll try for a payment outside ebay. Just guessing. I don't do ebay.

Definitely a bell-ringer -- except for that contact requirement.

Could be an eBay "concession store" (are they "popping up" in UK like they are now doing here in the US?) and the "seller" has no real idea what they are selling - just a suggested price from the actual ownerconsignee.

Seller may be as "suspicious" as you of the value (and wants some kind of confirm).

If you're interested I would at least inquire - elsewise - just move on.

I asked the "seller" about this item (maybe someone else did too?) and got this response "I am NOT listing the camera. Someone is listing under my account name. Thanks for the insight!" The Item is now removed - there was also a bike listed that had the same MO - Good eye Kim!

That would explain the "contact me before bidding". You would have thought that if (s)he had managed to "hack" the account, they would have changed email etc.

they may have Kim, I went to one of the "legit" items and contacted the seller through that listing - via "ask the seller a question".
