Hi all,
I'm thinking of jumping ship from b&w to E6, and I figured out that if I can use up a full Tetenal kit before it expires, it really helps keep the cost down.
That means you have to dev 30 rolls in around 10 days however, and I'm averaging about a roll a week shot.. while I don't mind the long wait to see the results, this has me worried about slide film shelf life.
Anyone? Sorry if this was asked before, I did try the search function first.
Thanks!

If the film is fresh, I would think you have plenty on time. I've gone a couple of month with it sitting on my desk before I got a couple more rolls to send off.

I develop slide films once a twice a year. My last development batch included some slides I shot almost two years ago. And it was fine, no issues. I keep those exposed rolls in the freezer.

1. Fujichrome films are very stable after exposure: I have not had any problems with processing two years after exposing.
2. The Tetenal E6 concentrate keeps for about 6-8 months after opening of the bottle (if you protect it with Tetenal Protectan protective gas).
Fuji Hunt E6 kit is even better than that with 9-12 months if you store it properly.
E6 processing at home delivers perfect results. And it is very cheap and easy.
