I wonder if we could compile a list of all the (analog) 35mm film cameras that are still in production today.

Be they rangefinders or SLR cameras, well, why not even film PS cameras (except the disposable crap....)

Polaroid welcome too, even Lomo......

Of course there's Leica's offerings: M7 and MP..... but what else

Voigtlander's Bessa range

Zeiss? Are they still building their cameras

Any SLR's out there

Why not include MF cameras?

Want to play?

Zeiss Ikon rangefinder no longer made. The Nikon F6 out of production. There is a Holga Nikon FM10 slr. Leica M7 & MP still being made. I do not believe there are any medium format cameras still being made. I think Hasselblad was the last and it stopped production a few years ago. Rollei I believe is out of business.

MF: Fotoman. At least until recently. Oh, and Rolleiflex. Maybe even Seagull in China, very recently I purchased one for a friend and it looked like it had been brought back as a souvenir from the Olympics in Beijing, it was brand new...

35mm: not a clue.

Bessa and Fuji are still doing medium format.

I think Fuji is still making the Fuji GF670 folder (just introduced a few years back).

Rollei is still in business and making 120 TLRs' and I believe the 6008AF. Limited production though.

Rolleiflex is still in business as DHW Fototechnik. Fotoman is in business too.

There are plenty of film cameras in production, but they do tend to be from less well known brands.

From memory;

Nikon: F6, FM10 (Cosina?)

Canon: EOS 1v

CV: Bessa R2M, R3M, (R2A, R3A are these still in production?)

Leica: M7, MP

Vivitar: V3800N (Cosina?)
I think the old Vivitar is long departed and this is just a name purchased to sell a recognized brand name. Who knows who they are now.

Except for the first four makes on the list you are much better off to purchase almost any used MMM (Metal Mechanical, Manual) camera from the 1970's that is operating correctly or can be refurbished. The cost of a quality used 35mm camera will quickly be a very minor precentage of your total cost of film, processing, paper, etc.

A whole bunch of Lomography toy cameras that come and go.

Finally, various other 'house' brands made by the lowest bidder and broadly following the Vivitar model in feature set.

Phenix has range of three slr cameras, Gaoersi still makes 6x12 and 6x17 cameras, Alpa still makes MF cameras, Star camera co. (MF plate cameras),
Linhof technical view cameras in MF.

If we were to include LF cameras we really would have a long list of camera manufacturers the big names might have gone fully digital but plenty of cottage industry like camera mfg are still in the film business.

Bessa R4M.R3M and R2M (the A - aperture priority has been discontinued)
Leica M7 and MP'
Bessa/Fuji 670 folder and the Bessa/Fuji 670 wide
There are others too, but those are the one that are pretty significant.
Lomo makes a bunch of 35 mm film cameras too,
