I love to spend time in my darkroom, but, unlikely, I move to another town for a new job last year and in my new home I haven't enough space for a darkroom... so only one time a month or less, when I came back to my first home, I can use it.........🙁

I moved home in April this year and am now finally getting round to building a new one. I've no idea how long it will take, especially with two very young children.
It's been almost 11 months since I've printed. Before we moved my darkroom (part of the garage) became a 'sort things out ready to move / junk room'. 🙁

Steve.

Under the current circumstances - once in a week.
But since I gave up on digital a while ago, it's just a matter of time when I'll be wet-printing at home. Once in a week isn't exactly enough for me.

Currently my darkroom equipment is in storage, but I plan to build a darkroom in my house. I miss the one I used in another house I sold eight years ago and, having to work with digital pictures every day, I need an antidote to all the silicon-bound stuff. And yes, I will be making prints the traditional way, because there's magic in having prints come out of the soup, and also because I can't afford the $2,000 for a Coolscan 9000.

My meopta is coming tomorrow so lets hope for everyday for a few years or so 🙂

i feel like i'm going backwards. came from a D700 and a million zoom lenses to a leica with 1 (one) lens, some xtol and a meopta

Since it gets set-up in the downstairs bathroom I have to set it up every time...it doesn't take too long to do...I wait until I have several rolls developed...
I just spent all day yesterday developing in the darkroom...
I love printing...

It's been too long for me - 9 months? I moved to a house with a 2.5 car garage about 4 months ago and have been slowly building mine - footprint on the ground is only 6 ft x 4.5 ft. It will be tight but I've worked in smaller/less convenient. I'm getting excited. Hopefully I'll be in there at least once a week.

This isn't moving backward, my friend - you're being enlightened.

If anything, you're moving forward.

Yes i know that many people may think that this is enlightenment, that's what i think and i am grateful i ended up with this, but unfortunately the biggest piece of the pie goes to people that think i am going backwards.

On the other hand, who gives a damn for em 😀

Usually once or twice a week. Far too busy with new job and a house full of relatives for the past three months so there is a backlog of negatives that need looking at.
regards
CW

I have use of one in my work place and I usually shoot about a roll of film a week, so I spend lunchtime one day a week devving film 🙂

Show them a hand developed B&W print on FB paper, mounted and framed...Then ask if they think this is backwards...😀:bang:😀

Sam, generally I'd agree with you in intent but unfortunately most of the people who can't see why a person would go "backward" can't really "see" in the first place.

I'm loving the luxury and convenience of a dedicated darkroom space - I'm lucky there (the sort of luck you have after years of hard work). It's nice to be able to just pop in there to load some film, or quickly develop a roll after dinner. I'll print about twice a week on average, and I also do my scanning in there as the darkroom is very free of dust compared to the house.

I put down once a week in the poll although I haven't use one in quite a while.
I had not long finished building a new darkroom for myself when someone thought it a good idea to set fire to the retail premises below me. All of my gear was smoke damaged but I manage to salvage and clean up most of it. It will be a while before the reconstruction has been finished so that I can set up again. When I do get my darkroom back I doubt if my wife will see me at all for at least a few weeks, I can't wait to start printing again. Scanning negatives is just not the same for me, I much prefer the "feel"
of a darkroom print.
