how rare is the “straight nose” 35mm f/1.7 ultron?

Are there any numbers for the early production Ultron with the “straight” nose? Most of the ones I’ve seen have the “tapered” nose.

Where does the original screw mount version fit in? I'm kind of stunned at all the different versions of this lens. Are they different optically? Forgive the question but I don't know what to think -- are these different just for the sake of something new, or are there real differences among them in terms of performance?

The Ultron LTM has a different optical formula, and the two M-mount versions only have different noses AFAIK.

I've heard that the M mount 35mm f/1.7 Ultrons don't suffer from a tendency to haze up irreparably like the LTM ones seem to. Certainly all of the 4 or 5 LTM ones I've handled had some degree of fog creeping in from the edges, I think in the actual cement between some lens pair. Are there any of the LTM ones that can be trusted to stay clear?
