Last week, NIK/Google implemented a software update that caused the above error for NIK plug in users. The error shows up when you open your photo editing software, e.g., Photoshop.
NIK/Google is aware of this, and they do have a fix. All you have to do is call their customer service at (888) 284-4085 and give them your emaIl address. They will send you a file with install instructions.
BTW, when they send the file, check your SPAM folder if you do not see it in your inbox.
