Howdy, y'all!

A quick first post before I dash off for the weekend.

I need help. I recently purchased a second VI-T body to match one I've had for ages & never really used. The rewind thingie (with the orange top) fails to engage to rewind exposed film. It's been to the The Repair Shop once & seemed to be working-I loaded and rewound a few frames. I was encouraged & loaded a roll of film and shot away. An hour later at rewind time, nothing. No engagement. My repair man said, "Bring it back when I return from vacation week after next." In the meantime, do y'all know of a surefire way to cure this problem? Or, does anyone have a working rewind gizmo from a Canon VI-T to sell?

BTW, I'm totally envious of the gentleman who just picked up a mint black 135/3.5 for under $100. :bang:

WTB/WTT:

In the buying and trading arena:

I need a black Canon slip on hood for the black 135mm/3.5, 48mm filter version. Or alternative suggestions. One idea I had was a 48mm-52mm step up ring and the Nikon 105/2.5 hood. Bought a T-50-2 hood on eBay.

A leather case for my VI-T would be nice.

A Voigtlander 75mm viewfinder would be nicer.

Things I might be convinced to part with:

Canon flash (will check model #) for a Model IV-S in the Canon case.

Canon Auto-Up II for the chrome 50/1.8 in original case with original instruction booklet.

I might, maybe part with my Komura 28/3.5 with original hood, finder and case. I bought this lens years ago and have only used it for one or two dozen exposures.

All of the above have been sitting in an O-ring sealed metal box for 30 odd years. I've never used the flash or Auto-Up II.

Y'all have a great weekend!

Try hunting ebay for a Canonet GIII (or equivalent generic) slip on lenscap - the filter size is 48mm there too - and the slip's on cap is diameter is 50mm.

step up to 49mm

step up to 49mm

Venchka,

I just got the mint Canon 135/3.5 mark III. I was lucky enough to sell attached M adapter for $40 to a list member. I also got the proper clamp-on hood (t-50-2)for it (brand new $5). It takes Series 7 filters. 🙂 🙂

What I am doing in terms of filters, is standardizing on 49mm. My J9 uses 49mm filters. I only want to carry around one 49mm set. They are still made. New they are inexpensive. Used they are cheap as dirt.

I bought a 48->49 step-up ring for about $5 new . B&H sells them. I also bought a 49mm black metal tele hood for about $6 new.

Thanks for all the good information! I just scored a Canon T-50-2 hood for the outrageous price ( 😀 ) of $10. My 135/3.5 kit is now complete.

Wayne,

Good catch on that hood. It screws apart and holds one series 7 filter. They are still sold new.

It looks like everything is going great for you except that you're in Texas! 😀
