How's the R2A at focusing a 35/1.4?

While browsing the Badger Graphics site, I noticed they had a LNIB Bessa R2A listed in their used section for $295. I decided to buy it (for that price, I'm sure I can make my money back) and see if it was a reasonable replacement for my M7 (which can then go to fund more important things... like tuition, meals, etc.).

The only thing I can't seem to figure out is if the RF will be fairly accurate on my 35/1.4 - anyone had a problem up close and wide open?

Wow that's a very nice price! An M7 it is not, but a quality camera nonetheless.

I don't have that particular lens, but I shoot my 50/1.5 wide open to f/2 on a regular basis with satisfactory results. I try to be concious of the small tolerance at that aperture and take extra care of course, but I haven't had any blatantly out of focus shots so far.

The 35mm should give you an extra bit of dof to help too.

Good luck!

Excellent, thanks. I keep edging toward selling the M7 as I don't always feel comfortable with the World's Most Expensive 35mm Rangefinder hanging around my neck.
