for $2.69 for 135/36 roll (imported). If you're regularly paying less, I'd like to know about it!

I always buy it there. BTW, the price you quoted is for "Fujifilm CS 135-36 Fujicolor Reala".
Superia is different.

That is a very good deal indeed.
My stock is 'Superia Reala': I think they change the exact name slightly from time to time and for different markets.

Hey Lazar, isn't your new Avatar showing a lesson on control theory ?
Appears to a phase behavior of a system comprized from a single order pole and zero (each at different frequencies)...
Do I miss the point ?

BTW, y'all...
Just got the stuff in the mail.....it IS SUPERIA REALA. Dunno anything about packaging variables, but 'tis DEFINITELY Superia Reala.

All 135 type Reala I have seen were Superia Reala. MF folks say it's different from MF stuff. But nice enough (smooth and tones too) to spend money for it, at least knowing how plain Superia 100 looks like.

Dunno why there's such confusion...maybe different marketing labels? At any rate, I've got some, and will use it soon, and make my opinion known sometime in the near future. I take it for granted that everyone here knows more about the film stocks than do I, and believe everybody, until I find out differently. Empirical observation always works best for me (seeing is believing...).

I have never really paid more than $1.50 a roll for film (mostly slide for color but some Fuji negs as well)! But I have never really bought non-expired film

Yes I bought some several months ago and mine is labeled Superia Reala too but the Reala is in big caps and it catches your eye... I have 6 rolls from vacation developed and have yet to even look at them.fishtek said:BTW, y'all...

My M5s need red dots!
I'm glad you guys scored some. Recently, after seeing a thread here about Provia ISO 400, I managed to get 20 rolls on the *bay. Kinda expired film (dated 9/07 I think) but still valuable. And if you freeze it, will last almost indefinitely.
I used Reala some years ago, when, taken by the hype, I purchased some 10 rolls at $2.75 or so. Then I went and photographed some nice red tulips...
Bad idea. The red dye was so intense there wasn't a hint of texture. So, I gave it up. Just in case somebody is using for the first time...
Have fun!

years ago I too got blown out reds on Superia Reala, but I recall it were in harsh miiday light. Also scanning on different scanner with different scannerware made huge difference, making scan rather useable.
