HU : postwar "Jena" Contax II on the big auction site

Looks like the real McCoy (one of the rare and so-called "Jena" Contax II assembled in Saalfeld after the war from 1946 to the early 1950s with parts from various origins) with the proper leather case and ticking all the boxes for cosmetic details. The lens is prewar and uncoated so it's not the perfect outfit, though.

No connection with the seller and I won't bid (plenty enough toys in my cupboard if not too many).

Too expensive by £300 GBP and not of the best cosmetics condition which I could see. Typically the kind of sale to stay away from.

The "Jena" postwar Contax II sold for $540 USD. Looks like classic Zeiss Ikon stuff collectors haven't all disappeared.

But they've gone away from the RFF. Years ago, a thread about a "Jena" Contax II would have got dozens of posts...

My fault for not having paid attention to this thread: lately, I'm very busy with work, often travelling abroad and the time to check online sales is very limited.

I'd love having a real "Jena" Contax, to put with my Kiev-1947...

One day, maybe.
