As you probably know, Series 6 filter adaptors can be used on Elmar 50/3.5 & 90/4 lenses. For example, I have a Series 6 adaptor that slides right onto my Elmar, a filter goes into that, another ring goes on top of that, which is then followed by a lens hood that screws in. If you haven't been able to find these, my local camera store (Jack's Camera http://www.jackscamera.com/ ) has a big tub (24" x 15" x 12" - give or take) that is full of these filters and adaptors. They are going for about $3 each, if memory serves. They are a wonderful store to do business with.
