Might be better than the stated Jena, unless the seller is dishonest about his pictures. The pictured lens is a Carl Zeiss (West, i.e. Oberkochen) lens from the mid fifties, apparently in good shape. Nonetheless the BIN price is very much on the dear side, given that I just got me a similarly nice late Opton f/1.5 for half that price - but it obviously is negotiable.

I noticed that prices on ebay is pretty high! even for widely available lenses (Contax and others!)

The asking price is about $150 too high.

Plus, the seller says it's a Jena lens, which it obviously is not.
I also doubt this the original case, as it has the script Zeiss Ikon, which was used in the 1930s, I believe.

I paid $200 for a very clean ZK in LTM.

LTM Sonnars are another matter, as genuine ones are pretty rare. Contax Sonnars are common as dirt, and priced accordingly.

Shows what I know, that's what I thought this was & is why I posted it. Thanks for the education, back to the search for a real LTM Sonnar.
It has a "Make Offer" on it. I suspect the seller does not know the going rate for these. The days of getting them for $25 are propably done, and I notice the price of really clean ones getting closer to $200. I guess u43 cameras and new run of Contax to Leica adapters has pushed price up. The 50mm F2 West German lens tends to take a back seat the the F1.5 version, but it is a fantastic lens.
