My camera club tells me that Hypo (the B&W fixer) is now illegal to use in Australia.
Is this correct?
I want to get back into B&W processing and have all the old, but good (ie. as new) chemicals to do it (including Hypo).
Thanks,
David

Haha this is setting off all my bs detectors. Are these the people who think you can't get film any more? Anyway you can check if you can still buy it, the shops would know. And don't be too certain your old chems are still good. Fixer doesn't keep forever.

That's BS sorry you can buy Sodium thiosulfate ("Hypo") in Australia without any problems. You should also be able to get ammonium thiosulfate "Rapid Fixer" in Australia without any major problems. You can also buy Ilford Fixer in Australia https://www.camerasdirect.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=hypam so this claim is clearly is BS.

Total nonsense. I bought a large volume of ammonium thiosulfate to make fixer last week.
