So far I've had a good week. My Zeiss 2.8/28 developed the infamous 'wobble' in 2016. Initially, I was able to mitigate the problem by turning the back element with my fingers but in 2018, the focusing ring jammed completely. Since then, I could not get it repaired. Until, two days ago, when I walked into a newly opened store in downtown Saigon which is selling a wide range of Voigtlander lenses at very decent prices.
I showed them the Zeiss and the store manager, a rangefinder aficionado, said his staff could repair it. I picked it up yesterday and the focusing ring is smooth as butter! The repair bill amounted to $21.
