Interesting. A street in England no doubt. There is a mixture of ancient and modern - the Volvo wagon (estate car) and the child's stroller, but the steam train and the soldier on the platform with a stick and the 1940s looking picture of the imperious woman. Perhaps exposed in the 1990s? Why are the frames so mucky?

Intriguing! Are the train shots possibly from a modern re-enactment? It would be quite a surprise if someone had taken an old camera, with shots from many years ago, and just started taking photos again. Thanks for sharing.

I would guess that it was exposed towards the end of the 1980s. The steam train pictures possibly could have been taken at the Bluebell Railway in Sussex or the Severn Valley Railway, the gentleman with a stick looks more like a rambler than a soldier (to me anyway) and many of the 'older generation' in the 1980s still dressed like the lady in the picture -particularly on special occasions.

Interesting find though and thanks for posting.

A bit of a search, and I believe the train is the 34027 Taw Valley on the Severn Valley Railway in the UK possibly at Bridgnorth station?

There are annual 1940 living history event around steam railway stations and routes. Severn Valley Railway is one of them. But I don't know at what year they started doing that. Not as far back as the 1980s I dare say.

Nice find and thanks for sharing, p.giannakis

Late eighties would be accurate, there's a lady with a baby stroller and striped pants, and in the 'ramblers shot' there's a guy wearing Asics trainers shoes standing to the side.

I love how people on this forum can date pictures fairly quick, like in Keith's trip-around-the-world scans some time ago.

Hi guys, thank you for your input. Sorry i didn't give you more info about the film, it was a kodak gold 200 but i found it in a pretty bad condition. The canister as rusty and the plastic part of the canister was breaking into pieces. When i poured out the developer, there were pieces of the emulsion coming out so it must have been left out in the elemets for quite some time.
A gentleman was able to identify the train station as Grosmont, North Yorkshire, a 182 miles away from where i found the film.
My guess is that the pictures are taken somewhere in the late 90's early 00's.

The film may have been on the street for years. I once found a set of keys I lost in a gravel parking lot 15 years later. The keys were beat up but still would of worked had I still had the car and house they belonged to.
