As most may know, Raid made it possible for me to get a Canon 35/2.8 for a price I could actually afford. David Murphy, further, made a Bessa R possible for me. The lens should be here today, to my frenzied box opening delight. The camera should be here by Friday at the latest, which means I'll be able to take it to Des Moines for the weekend. It's almost time for the mail to come and I'm tapping my darn foot in anticipation.

Just had to tell you guys. SO excited to get both of these things. And big thanks to both of the wonderful men who made them possible. :D

I'm in the same boat, waiting on a M2 from across the pond. Stephen got my lens to me in like 3 days, its been 9 days for the body, maybe today, but it likely a few more days...

I got it and it's beautiful. Tiny and compact. Glass is extremely clean. Barely a mark on the chrome. I love it. I know I'm going to take tons of pictures with it.

This made my day. Thank you!

Oh, and I took a look on the inside of the case. The serial number in the case matches the lens serial, meaning it's a matched set. SO awesome.

One, and one only, until I get the photos from the SLR back. My phone cam sucks.

Just to compare. Wanted to show how small the thing is. If you're looking for a nice, compact 35, this pretty much fits the bill.

Nice! What is the normal price for one of those? I have a Canon P on the way, so it's time to go lens shopping.
