I open www.rangefinderforum.com and every thread here will be about X100, which ironically isn't even a rangefinder camera.

The camera isn't even in stores here in the U.S. yet & there are threads already on reported problems & comparing the camera to a Canon 5dmkII. Can't wait for Ken Rockwell to get one so he can compare it to a Leica M9.

This too will pass.
What's stopping you from ignoring X100 posts altogether? If they annoy you, it's seems a trivial solution is to not open the threads. Scrolling past the X100 threads can't be much of a burden.

I just have to have the latest and best so I simply can not ignore temptation.

Ah, this is a meta-thread. How long before we see a thread about threads about the X100. (Ten to one some bugger'll do it as soon as they read this.)

It's quite rare that the two coincide, though.

I clicked the link and it went to a website named "Rangefinderforum" but guess what... I found tons of X100 info there!

It seems that this site attracts a fair number of schizophrenic personalities, who are religious about their Leica LTM, while at the same time pixel peeping the latest digi-something-or-other. I suppose we are are all guilty of that sometimes.

I like Ken Rockwell's work and I respect his opinion. Rockwell said:

Forget the Fuji Finepix X100.
I just looked at this sample gallery, and the images are soft, low-contrast,
lower resolution, and boring compared to my D7000,
much less the full-resolution samples I share in my new Route 66 Gallery from a LEICA M9.
Who are Fuji trying to kid; children who think iPhones are cool?
I love Fuji — Fuji Velvia 50! Now that's photography!
When you can get this from a Fuji digital camera, wake me up.
