I thought Freestyle Legacy Pro was Fuji Neopan 400 but . . .

I soaked both films in a water bath in preparation for stand development in different canisters. (This was done during different days weeks apart). The real Fuji Neopan always turns the water a very dark blue while the Freestyle Legacy Pro just gives the water a light pink tinge, similar to Ilford Delta 3200. The negatives do look similar in development which makes me HAPPY.

Has anyone noticed this difference and does it mean anything?

I find them identical in every regard i.e. the same film, down to the colour of the anti-halation to the base fog, to the... everything. I dev mine interchangeably with Neopan 400 (when I have both in stock and use) and cannot see any differences. Same film, without a doubt.

May be that some changes were made in the dyes used at various points in production but cant say I have ever paid much attention. I get pink out of both at the present time. Developed both last night!
