Likewise.
I'm off to Sweden next month - the first time in 7 years. But this time arriving in Copenhagen then across the bridge to the Malmo area. Looking forward to the photo opportunities.
BTW, love the first shot!

Epimetheus,
I noticed on your site that you have sold your R-D1. I enjoyed keeping up to date with your images but will miss your R-D1 photos
The 5D 'wide open' stuff is a very good substitute though.
Cheers,
John

Very nice pictures from Stockholm. I go regularly on business trips to both Stockholm and Helsinki. Often I take the ferry between the two cities. This ferry trip offers excellent photo opportunities.
Here is a link to pictures I have uploaded here earlier from the Stockholm - Helsinki ferry trip:

Anyone else here with Stockholm pictures?

Thats because the RD1 is mine now
Is that my R3A you're using? I miss it's Grey little body. However the RD1 does make a very nice substitute.

It's a small world. A fellow Sydneysider is now using his R-D1 on the other side of the world. It truly is a 'global village'!
I hope you are enjoying it mate.

Very nice shots Markus. I haven't been to Stockholm for a few years, but I quite fancy going back now, looking at your shots.

Thank you all for your kind comments! I myself ware kind of disappointed on my pictures as I didn’t felt very inspired when I was taking them in Stockholm. Maybe the city is too much like my hometown Helsinki and I really didn’t get that ‘new place, wow!’ kind of inspiration.

Great photos!
I live in Stockholm and you realise how many good shooting opportunities you have around you that you do not "see" just because you live there and see it every day...

Johnmcd,
Excellent Stockholm pictures! I have had a very memorable evening at the bar of the hotel - Strand - you see in your first picture with the blacksmith, overlooking the harbour. What was he doing? Knives?

I can't agree with you on that one. I find Helsinki and Stockholm very different; yes they have some heavy similarities, but they are very different IMO. But what would I know, I grew up in backwater Espoo

I can't quite remember what he was making, maybe items for the longboat that was moored next to him. There was also traditional jewelery crafting as well from memory.
It is a beautiful and welcoming city. I really miss my short stay there.
Hope the OP doesn't mind but here are few more that I found in storage. All taken with a 3 mp Sony.
