What you want is a decent exposure meter. I cannot see how different meters will or will not be good matches for any particular camera. If the meter must be FSU, you are limited to a Sverdlovsk or a Leningrad.

I have a Kodalux L shoe mount meter which is tiny and works well. You might need to pad out the hotshoe to fit it snugly. Also nice but more expensive is the VC shoe mount meter.

Handheld small meters: Gossen Digisix or Pilot (can also be shoe mounted) or one fo the Vivitar CdS meters (model number35 or 45) - cheap, light and pretty good.

I picked up a Gossen Luna Pro for a little on eBay, bought the battery adapter and it is a fantastic meter. But German, if that matters. I find it easy to use and used little as the more I use it (while doing a guesstimate before pushing the button as a self-test) the less I find I HAVE TO use it.

The Kodalux is a great small meter, but does not fit so well in my FED2 - badly clipped on the flash shoe, and it bulges backwards... (see 2 photos) It fits the Zorki 4 better, and with the Zorki-6 I need to remove it everytime I need to change speeds.
My options are definitely the Leningrad4 (light, small, easy to use, no batteries) and the respected Sverdlovsk 6 (less practical to use, needs batteries, but very reliable)- one photo posted.
Cheers
Joao

I agree!
Comrade, choose a Soviet meter for your Soviet Camera! The Sverdlovsk-4 is a superb meter.

Mine does read exactly the same as my Nikon F3.. 😀

Hi Holgaguy,

Will it be your first handheld meter ?

Cheers,
Ruben

Gossen Pilot is a nice one. The digisix is alo very handy (just don rely on it mounting capabilities as the plastic mount is rather fragile, bit expensive and hard to find).
The thing to consider with meters like the Gossen pilot or the Leningrad 4 they are older by now and may not be that reliable any more. Whereas a digisix or the great looking VC meter easily cost much more than the camera.

Obvious choice is Voigtlander VCII. The small Gossens are also a nice choice, e.g. the digiflash I use myself.

Might be a tough fit.
My older fed-2 has a deeply recessed hot shoe. My VCII will no way fit it.
It may fit fed-2s with the higher hot shoe, but I'm not sure.
