Let's suppose that someone gave you $12,000 with the one stipulation that you had to spend it on photography. How would you spend the money?

Caveat: Yes I know the camera does not make the photographer but I'm curious if fiscal constraints were removed what your priorities would be.

Two bodies, both weatherproof (probably the E-M5/OM-D), a handful of primes, and the rest of the cash for traveling.

So probably $3-4k in gear, and $8k to focus solely on photography for a few months.

As nice as a Leica M feels in my hand, I'd rather have something ready for a hectic kitchen or downpour.

Leica MP plus APO Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH. I know that is a bit more than $12K. If I had to stick with $12K, I would probably buy two or three other nice Leica lenses, used.

Monochrom-M and 35 Cron ASPH. For some reason, I can't shake the intrigue of shooting only bw on digital. I know I could convert with an M8/M9, but being limited (or unlimited) to just bw has got me very very interested.

Hasselblad 203FE + 80mm.
Canon 5DMkIII + 85/1.8, 35/2 (Already have the 50/1.4).
Sony NEX7+Zeiss 24/1.8 or Fuji XPro1 with two lenses.
Maybe trade my Nikon FE2 for an FM3a.

Take a Ralph Gibson workshop, a David Vestal workshop, then spend whatever is left over on a Leitz enlarger and tavel!

Hmmm...

A Pentax Digital 645 w/ Pentax-D FA 645 55mm f/2.8 lens?

Canon 5d MKIII with 24mm 1.4, 35mm 1.4, 40mm 2.8, 50mm 1.2, and 85mm 1.2 lenses?

An olympus XA or something OM to compliment the 35mm side, some MF gear (Rollei TLR or Hassy if 6x6 or Mamiya 7), scanner, a m4/3 basic rig and spend the rest on travel... or save it up!
