BLACK!

I know they're not Ikons but still ok I hope.

Esthetically, definitely silver (what I voted); for a stealthier reportage would be better black (unless you're in the snow!)

silver is mac
black is pc

silver is campy
black is shimano

silver is Ferrari
black is Corvette

silver is Leica
black is DSLR

got a bunch more....

:D

A silver camera is a thing of beauty and is defined by it's lines and asthetics ... the Leica IIIF RDST comes to mind. A black camera of any type is ... well, it's just another black camera! :)

Maybe we should have matching Zeiss Ikon kits, one black and one silver, to match with the outfits we are wearing when out photographing.

I went with silver.....

Actually glad I did, I get more comments on "thats an old camera.." when in reality its not at all. Most people i've encountered disregard me. :)

Though I will admit I do wish mine was black sometimes.

In any case, the black paint is definately not as sturdy as the paint is on the silver version... much easier to see the magnesium alloy beneath when you scratch the black camera.

Sarcasm alert!!

And would we need matching man-bags to carry them in? And, would I need silver shoes to match the silver one? I already have plenty of pairs of black shoes...

That being the case, where are the plaid cameras?

(I can't decide...)

why not add a "both" option?

Seems obvious to me but may be worth pointing out: the so-called "silver" version has BOTH, black and silver :D

Didn't Keith put snakeskin on his? That would make yet another missing option.

Maybe the poll should be revamped: do you like the color you have or do you lust after what you don't have?

Or, which looks better after years of use? New I preferred black, but the dealer told me that the silver apparently wears better.

Actually no difference for me.
Silver seems more beautiful aethetically.
Mine is black because it was the only colour to choose of at a dealer.
