I want to encourage anyone with large hands to pickup this grip. It really makes handling this camera a joy. The Zeiss version of this grip is well made and fits nicely with the styling of the camera.

Nice. I thought about picking one up myself, but ended up with a Luigi case, with the built-in "bubble grip." I got the Leica grip for the M8 and I'm not really sure that I like it.

Does anyone have a shot of the grip on-camera?

Interesting comment about the M8 grip ... I just got one and feel the same way. I've also noticed that while using it I tend to block the rangefinder window with the tip of my index finger occasionally if I'm not careful.

As for the Ikon I bought a Luigi grip case for mine. In the photo posted of the Ikon grip I feel it looks nice from the front but does make the bottom of the camera look a little odd by covering only half the base plate.

Would you prefer that it cover the rewind knob and force you to remove it in order to rewind the film? Not important, I like mine. I ordered another Ikon kit and another grip.

I realise it has to be this way for the reasons you say ... it's certainly a far nicer shape than my M8 grip which IMO sits too far out from the camera body!

Incidentally what does the Ikon item cost ... the Luigi grip case is a thing of beauty and works very well but it sure wasn't cheap?
