Can anyone provide info and date on this camera ? on the side is engraved P 95433 and IKONTA 521,the lens is a coated Novar 4,5 75 mm in Prontor-S with flash sync and self timer . Thanks

Unfortunately, Zeiss Ikon body serials are neither continuous nor unique across series, and Contax seem to be the only cameras for which they are sufficiently researched. Should be from the early to mid fifties going by the lens and shutter - I doubt that it can be more closely dated by serial unless some other reader has another 521 with nearby serial and known pedigree.

What will be more useful is 1) Is that a coated Novar?, and 2) What's the body number? Not the model number, but the body number, which should be embossed into the leather just beneath the pop-up viewfinder.

Mike,this is a IKONTA 521 "A "(41/5 X 6) it is a Coated lens no serial number on the lens
the number embossed on the leather is P 95433
