From what I understand Ilford Rapid Fixer is based on ammonium thiosulphate rather than sodium thiosulphate (aka hypo) and as such does NOT require the film to be washed with a hypo clearing agent after fixing.
I'd be grateful if somebody could confirm this lest I make a mistake on my next development...

Thanks,
Vincent

Is use the Ilford method of washing after using Rapid Fixer.
After fixing, fill the spiral tank with water at the
same temperature, +/-5ºC (9ºF), as the processing
solutions and invert it five times. Drain the water
away and refill. Invert the tank ten times. Once
more drain the water away and refill. Finally,
invert the tank twenty times and drain the water
away.
I have 30 year old negs that were washed this way that are just fine. some of my C41 from that era hasn't fared as well.
