I am in the Gallery 44 Members show for Contact at Gallery 1313, which is in Parkdale at 1313 Queen Street West. The opening is this Thursday from 7 to 10. More info here:

Every so often it's nice to go beyond jpegs
I'm showing 3 photographs taken in Toronto.
Two at night, and one could just as well have been night (G20).
I've been showing in Contact for over a dozen years now, and this is the first time I'm showing photographs I've taken here.
The big change for me when I switched to digital was that before I would mostly photograph when on trips, and then spend many Saturdays at West Camera making colour prints; now i have a camera with me almost all the time, and often shoot walking home from work.
Coincidentally, I have 5 prints for sale in a recently launched project of Gallery 44 where unframed prints are for sale at Gallery 44 itself (401 Richmond) in Photofile. There. all my prints are from outside Toronto. 2 from Haiti in 2010, one from Mexico later that year, but also 2 from Mexico from about 10 years ago. 1 is a C-print printed at the time; the other a black and white print from a colour negative I printed about a year ago (I really should scan more.) And I really should go back to Mexico more.
