Now I'm not normally one to blow my own trumpet, but I felt I'd like to mention to my friends on RFF that I'm in the new Citypulse ACTIVISTA! issue.
Obviously I'm very flattered to be included, but for those not familiar with Citypulse it is a collaborative arts project which features such luminaries as Tommy Oshima, Chris Friel, Edward Olive etc.
The ACTIVISTA! issue can be found here. http://www.citypulser.com/CITYPULSE-ACTIVISTA
My shots are black and white images of anti-Gaddafi protests that took place last summer in Manchester (UK).
You'll find my shots roughly in the middle of the magazine. I took them using an M8 with 15mm Heliar and an old and battered Yashica-mat 124G.

Without a doubt the knowledge I've gained and friends have made through this site have played a massive part in getting me to this point.
So a big thanks all!

I have to admit I'm one who hadn't heard of citipulse but a big congratulations from me anyway Bob. Great news for you and fully deserved with some of the excellent pictures you take.
Does this make you miss being digital again or have no bearing? I'm only asking seeing as the shots were taken with your old M8 which I thought you got rid of when going back to film.
Congrats again Bob, good work!

Thanks Simon!
It was an interesting middle point in my transition to medium format film. I was also shooting my first TLR, the Yashica-mat, at the same time as the M8 and the Citypulse shots are about a 50/50 split.
The 6x6 images from this series made me realise that I could shoot anything I wanted with a TLR, and that to me, the benefits outweighed any minor niggles I may have had.
In all honesty I don't miss digital; I have an x100, but I don't seem to use it. Obviously if I did your job I'd have a DSLR, but for my own stuff medium format film is all I need.
That said, I wouldn't say no to a medium format digital back if anyone is offering.

Thankyou for support. Having just woken up I was a little confused by the long words thinking people thought I was a LUMI(In Spanish is something else). After one orange juice I now understand.
Citypulse is an excellent project. I recommend participation to all photographers who have time off from mere commercial daily bread photography work for personal explorative creative projects.
Kind regards

Again, congratulations Bob, but I don't think you should be thanking the community - you've earned this through your own passion and eye for detail and have every right to be held in the same regard are your fellow CityPlus featured photographers.
The quality of your shots speak for themselves and have been, quite rightfully, recognised by the likes of the guys and gals at CityPlus and its not before time, as far as I'm concerned.
Goes to show, passion, hard work and patience pays off. Well done mate

Thank you again chaps.
I had a great year for photography last year, I learnt a lot and enjoyed myself a great deal, so it's really nice to have a few things to show for it. It gives me plenty of motivation for the year ahead.
Here's to us all having a productive 2012!
