I have never use any 50mm lens so often before and I am falling in love with it. Although i always prefer 28mm, i guess i am fine with 50mm nowadays. I learn how to be patient in framing and just walk back a few steps. I hope these few photos do justice to FSU 50mm lens.

pic 4 taken at f2, i personally like the bokeh.

in love with 50mm

another set here.
B/W taken FED, 50/3.5 collapsible lens.
cross-process with J8.

The 50mm helps tighten your compositions doesn't it? :) The 28 keeps wanting you to move closer... Nice to change, and see how your vision is affected, and how the photos change.

I like the 28/50 combo myself. I think of it as 28 shows you what you see and 50 shows you what you are looking at.

hey Stephanie Brim, I used expired Kodak Tungsten film for those x-pros.

Too bad russian cameras do not have framelines. I still like 28mm for indoor and interiors.

Rover, your 21mm test gallery is wonderful. :D

First of all, these pictures really are mighty fine!

W.r.t. 50mm, someone told me that your age equals your preferred focal length ;) Dunno your age, and no offense intended of course :)

hahaha..I dont mind such jokes.
Bought this Fed 2 as a 21st birthday present for myself.

Whats "W.r.t"?
Its really funny to hear that one's age equals to one's preferred focal length. A quote from where? hahaha

That explains why 1200mm never really took off!

W.r.t. short for 'With Respect To'

Don't know where the quote came from, I guess it subconsciously registered and just popped up..

Yeah, and also why women like zoom lenses.. Oh, the wonders of always being able to pretend you're just 28.. (With apologies to all of the female RFF membership of course ;) )

God! Those pictures are absolutely great!
I'm bewitched!
(and I've got a 57 J8 as well :))

Hallo Tun,
it's true: the 50mm is an interesting lens: I have not it in my RF kit and I miss it. For this reason I use a lot also my FM2 with a 50mm/1,4. But it is not a RF ! Probably one day I ll buy one, soon or later. Your pictures are very good, I like specially the two girls (bokeh is beatifull!) and the dog from first serie and the trees (the geometry) and the four girls in a pub of second serie! Happy to have seen them, hope to see more, ciao
