Infrared film and C41 processing

Does anyone know if there is a black and white infrared film that can be processed via C41 colour?

What would the purpose be? I guess C41 B/W are just for those who cannot process their films and for the low grain with increadibly forgiving exposure latitude. I also guess that if one goes as far as to want to shot infrared film than he can as well learn how to process it and that if such a film could indeed be produced than it would not have the incredible latitute of an ordinary B/W C41 film (this last statement is just a guess I might be way wrong about that)...
