Interesting...

Hi,

I've often noticed that something odd or rare on ebay will make others sell another one. Best to search for them as the first one often is the dearest (and the 3rd one is dirt cheap!).

Regards, David

Well, the first was not available to bidders outside the United Kingdom, so that may have influenced the price.

This second one is available to the world and is unusual, so now the price will rocket.

So I'll wait, hopefully, for the third. :)

Actually, a thing doesn't have to be odd or rare. There are people who lurk on different or many forums. When any particular camera starts to get extra mentions, especially many glowing mentions in a thread, or a thread of its own, prices start climbing, and that type of camera crawls out of every nook and cranny and becomes a star on ebay.

Of course, prices are also influenced by moon and tide, so you timing has to be impeccable when you want to make a purchase.
