Hello.

I was faffing around with some code, and came up with a little app which may or may not live, that depends on you lot. It'll be free whatever.

IT's very simple, it simply plots a pin at your current location on a map, and allows you to tag the pin with notes. When walking around I come across locations which would be great to shoot, but I don't have a camera, or the lighting is poor, or the weather, or whatever. I thought about a quick little app that drops a pin on the location, lets you type in notes if you want, and then saves that for later use in some kind of list or grid view.

My question is would you use it?

If you would like other features, hollah.

Not quite your audience

I'm not an iPhone user, so for the BlackBerry and Android users out there, there are a couple solutions that do this. For BlackBerry, the GPSLogger (freeware). I used this quite a lot. Very good. It allows you to email your notated logs to yourself and import those in to Google Earth or Google Maps. For Android, My Tracks (freeware) by Google also allows you to do this plus you can export those to spreadsheets or a mapping program.

Hi. They are some good ideas, I could add that as an upgrade. I was thinking of having it link to a free website, where people can post places of interest or you can upload/backup your places.

Nobody have any ideas on this app?

I have the basic code set down, and by that I mean the app is pretty much done and I've been using it. But it's very simple, and I wonder if anybody had ideas for any other features they'd like for a street shooting app?

Again, this app will be free, so here's your chance 🙂
