i will try to take some photo with it if i can get a light meter
but to post photo...
i will have to get a scanner 1st... i dont want to pay for the sky-high scanning fee!
and my 1st project is
to dessemble it and paint it to another color!!!
what color will u do if u were me? (other than black)
it seems the gray and royal blue Bessa Rs are quite good isn;t it?

Let's see.
John Deere yellow stands out. A nice Royal blue would be different.

The late FED 2 (essentially a FED 3) has the very devil of a finder if one has glasses (although the classic fed 2 is rather spectacle friendly, I find). The deep dioptre ring is the problem, but these might help get a closer look - http://www.aki-asahi.com/store/html/kiev-4/eyepatch/index.php

This might sound really patronising and I wouldn't if you had not just received the camera. The little lever under the re-wind knob adjusts the viewfinder optics. Try using it with your glasses off. You have to be pretty unlucky not to get a clear view. It also demonstrates that the viewfinder is not that accurate - but it is adequate.

Nickfed, Unless I'm mistaken, Juno has what this site - http://www.rus-camera.com/camera.php?page=fed&camera=fed2 - calls a "FED 2 type 4" which looks like a 3 by any other name and has a nasty thick knurled wheel around the viewfinder which operates the dioptre correction. In my view this was a major step backwards, especially given the limited correction built into the camera.
I had a FED 4 (same mechanism) and although usable with glasses, one really has to get as close as possible.

yes...
i got the Fed 2g / 2l / variant 4... whatever...
i cant see the entire 50mm view anyway...
thanks Ian
i think my glasses is hard enough
they are glass rather than the fiber/plastic, will you get scratch on them easily
i hope i can get the painting done during the Christmas
i will have to wash the chrome off with HCL, right?
better do it in the fume hood in the lab rather than in my toilet
AND!
will i suffer the same problem if i get a zorki 6?
thanks

Oh yes, Juno - they will scratch! I have a pair of (glass) spectacles positively gouged by Fed viewfinders
No - The Zorki 6 has a very glasses friendly finder, with the whole frame easily visible, but I still recommend you use Aki-Agashi protectors on it - it will still scratch if you don't!

Blue can work quite well on a Fed 2.

Ian:
but it said it do not fit camera rather than Fed3/4/5...
can i use it on Zorki 6?
Kim:
i will try a darker blue
if i can find one
and do u use the HCL to wash the chrome off?
what concentration do u use?
as i can get a very high concentration one
but i am afraid it will also eat the brass or whatever under the chrome...

Hammertone grey looks great on Leicas, so it must look even better on a FED

"Flim? You want flim?"
Felt protectors! Great idea.. where do you get them? Are they glued on, then?
Oh.. and the paint issue - paint it black, as the Rolling Stones once sang. Love mine.
