Refuses to suffer fools
I have this unnatural urge to try an M7.
We have a Calumet nearby but I don't want to call them with a question today (last Saturday before Christmas, they're probably nuts over there).
Is Leica USA still doing their loaner program? I didn't see anything on the website, but the program has always been very low key.

My M5s need red dots!
Ken, I'd contact Dave. He's the best person to know. But then, he'll probably want you to buy an M7 new... It's in his best interest, inn'it?
How does (or did) that program work? Loaner? Without a credit card number to back the loan?
Come to think about it... you can also lease an M7 from Calumet. The lease option is still available in their site. I saw it a while ago, when I was considering leasing or renting glass.
Take care!

Francisco, IIRC it was a pure loaner deal. You had to schedule it in advance and they'd loan you an M7 or MP plus one (?) lens. I'd simply slap my corporate AMEX for a deposit, that way it'd be insured too.
I'll keep looking, and email Dave if I don't find anything.
Thanks!
