Is there a camera you like so much that you have more than one of the same model?

Well?

For me, it's a couple of M2s and Fuji GS670s. The Fujis are used for paid portraits as well as for fun.

I have two Olympus OM-4T bodies. I love them. My girlfriend has one of her own too, which she got after trying mine. I've had mine for many years; got the first one when I was in high school and bought the second from a friend in Santa Fe when i lived out there a couple years ago. I usually keep Tmax 3200 in one of them and Tmax 400 in the other. I use 35mm for handheld candid type stuff mostly....portraits, snapshots, street type stuff, etc. If I care about lots of detail and fine grain I don't bother using slow film in 35mm, I just go to medium format.

I'd like to have another Bessa R2, now that I have one. I'm falling in love with it, and it would be cool to have a two-body setup with 400 and 3200 film like I do with my SLRs.

I have 2 canonets, 2 Rolleiflexes 3.5f, I used to have 2 Leica R3's but have now 2 Leica mechanicals. R6 and sl2. I used to have two M6's but now have a M6 and M7.
But this is mostly to be able to have two different kinds of film readily available.
Cheers,

Michiel Fokkema

That's my reason for having two. Medium format is nice, you just need two backs but for 35 you need 2 bodies.

Uhhhh...yup!!!

I have an Olympus 35-S with the 4.2cm 1.8 lens...I liked it so much I bought two more working cameras and another spare body for parts...

also...

2 Nikon F4's
2 Nikon F2's
2 Nikon FM's
3 Nikon FE's
2 Pentax MX's

Just two Nikon Fs (one as an FTn, the other with DA). I used to own two S2s, so as to have an instant change of lens to hand; but never used them enough to justify having both, and ended up traded one away for a Pentax 645N.

Now I just own different cameras that share a common lens mount.

That's the real pitfall - two bodies. Once I got two cameras to keep slow and fast films loaded. And later I doubled some of other cameras, too. Poison, like any medicine when overused.

I have several M bodies and normally carry two if I am taking a bag or one if no bag. I usually keen different lenses on them which makes for a 'pic 'n mix' from my bag. This might sounds extravagant but it makes a heck of a difference compared to changing lenses. It feel much more fluid to work this way. I tend to work a certain FL then switch bodies to use the other. Also means I have a back up on hand and never need miss a shot if I need to change film. Frequently I will keep different speed films in the two if it helps overcome huge differences in lighting in the same geographical space.

I use an accessible bag that is not too cramped, wrist straps on the RF bodies... great way to work. I am finding I like the Domke F series bags great for working this way. They can be nice and low key along with small RF camera. Just does not look like a pro-rig, but rather a guy into weird/old cameras and using an army surplus canvas bag!

That said, if I want to travel light or really inconspicuous (i.e. need to hide the camera under my coat) I use one M body with a spare lens in my pocket. Covers most but not all eventualties

Oh, my... You did have to ask! My cameras often are in pairs, for various reasons including simple enthusiasm.
Two Bronica RF645
Two Contax G2
Two Kiev 4a
Two Konica Hexar RF
Two Leica M8
Two Minolta CLE
Two Olympus Pen FT (plus an FV)
Two Pentax 645NII
Two Pentax 6x7
Two Pentax 67II
Two Pentax Auto 110
Two Pentax ES (one is an ESII)
Two Pentax K2 (one is a K2 DMD)
Two Pentax LX
Two Pentax ME Super
Two Pentax MX
Two Pentax ZX-M (one labeled MZ-M)
Ummm, that seems to be it...

Wow. Doug. My hat's off to you. I have "overlapping" models e.g.

One Rollei 75/3.5, one 80/2.8
One SS M3, one DS M3, one M2
Two Nikkormats
Two Pentax K1000's (long gone)

Cameras models I have owned more than once:

Pentax LX
Mamiya 330

(if that counts)

Nice to know that I am not alone!
Pair of:

- Nikon FM (great camera!)
- Olympus 35 RC (one for colour the other for BW)
- Retina IIc
- Retina Ia f 2.8
- Moskva 4
- 3 Kievs....as it's hard to get a working model right away
- 3 Zorki 4's same reason as above
Lenses:
- 4 J9's 2 in M 39, two in Kiev/Contax
- several I 22's and J 8's

OK I've given reasonable explanations for having the pairs but who amI kidding....
