Just wondering if there's any sort of market for the kit lenses that come with cameras like the E-PL5 I bought a couple weeks ago? I bought the Voightlander 25 f0,95 to use on the camera and put the 14-42 II straight in the cupboard along with a lot of other unused equipment, and it'll probably never see daylight again. But reading reviews I now see that the lens is pretty highly rated, if you like that sort of thing.

E-bay turns up a few examples at around 100 bucks - but I didn't get any reliable idea of completed sales, so I wonder whether it's worth the trouble?

One other option is to give it up as a Christmas gift on RFF. There is a thread on it.

That's a lovely suggestion, but I'm going through tax-bill hell the last few weeks, so I've tried to clear everything I don't use to raise cash. Giving stuff away (apart from Unicef and a local homeless charity) isn't really realistic for me just at the moment - I might possibly need a 14mm at some point in the future. :(

Looking further into this, I don't think these lenses raise enough to make a sale worthwhile. Hope not giving it away doesn't make me look like Scrooge...

Not at all. It is easier when people find "old stuff" they want to to give up. Usually, they get someone else's old stuff then!

Try selling the lens here with "Best Offer" as the price.

That's a nice lens, I have one on my E-PL1 you should be able to sell it, it's a lot
better than the first version. To be honest mine is sitting there as well I got a
Panasonic 14mmf2.5 lens which I use most of the time now but it's nice to have
a zoom there just in case.
