I'd hold out for $16,500. $16,750 at most.
Could you not go look up the prices of these things new and decide quite easily? Are you paying 90 percent of list? 80 percent? Etc. Match that against condition. Voila.
Me, if I had that kind of lettuce I'd go buy them new, actually, enforceably warrantied to you, clean, etc., at B&H or some other reputable dealer.

Thanks for the response. I tried doing a quick estimate by looking at online prices - but there are several problems:
Most list priced equipment is out of warranty - if I tally against the existing equipment - yes its cheaper - but it also has lenses I don't particularly want - like the 90mm and 35mm - both of these then have transaction costs associated with selling them.
The equipment is mint - and the latest. So yes its already discounted against new equipment and very unlikely to have any problems. It looks like it hasn't been used much - and taken care of by a professional photographer.
I agree about holding out though - It's a very large single transaction - and I think that warrants further discounting. I doubt there are many people (in Malaysia) who are willing to fork out that kind of money for a full set - particularly as the market to potentially resell here is very small.

Sounds like a decent price, but if you're in the US understand that warranties are not transferable unless this package is being offered by an authorized dealer

I'm in Malaysia - and unlikely to move before the warranty expires.
Are all warranties non-transferable from Leica?

As far as I know just those in the US are non transferable. But I'd check with leica directly about your region before taking the seller's word on it

Thanks for your help... I seriously hope I lose my nerve. It's a lot of money!

Warranties from Leica are transferable - they have to be by European law. That means that, even if Leica USA will not transfer the warranty, it will still be honored by Leica Solms.I'm in Malaysia - and unlikely to move before the warranty expires.
