I salvaged this from a broken Zenit E that I have. This is the focusing screen/ground glass. No markings whatsoever...there is also a little metal spacer that goes under (last picture). I'm not sure if I should use this or not.
It looks like the glass is curved on the top, perhaps to give it a magnifying quality? My question is will this give accurate focus for calibrating infinity focus with a loupe, or will this magnification throw it off.
Update: the viewfinder has a slight magnification to it. I removed it from the top plate, it has maybe 2x magnification. Perhaps this is designed to be used in tandem?
The only other flat ground glass I would have to scavenge from an extra retina reflex s with slightly off shutter speeds. Plastic focusing screen with split screen center spot.

As long as the part that mimics the position of the film across the focus plane is flat, then you are good.
