Yesterday after work it stood there in the hallway of my house. A nice big brown parcel. The Misses has signed for it. It contained the Yashica Lynx 14e I purchased off "Marktplaats", a dutch auction site owned by e-bay.
Aperture seems to work as far as I can tell by rotatin the aperture ring while in bulb mode. It opens and closes nicely. Shutter times seem to run also. I don't have equipment to measure the times.
\The Lynx 14e feels like quality all over. It looks nice, but needs some new light seals as it has some black sticky stuff on the bottom of it's battery cover. The are no dents or scratches on the camera, it's a real looker.
The neverready case has some spots of laquer missing. anybody got any idea how to touch these spots up? Shoeshine maybe?
Can't wait to take it out, happy as a little kid.:D
Later all,
Rob

I got a pretty scuffed up never-ready case on an old camera I got. The outer leather was gone on a sizable patch to where it looked like scuffy cardboard. I simply used a Sharpee marker on it.

To my eye it looks fine. The leather was a deep brown, the marker is black but it looks 100% better - close enough, better than the scuffs.

Shoe polish would likely work too. Or both! Try a little patch of each, see what works better.

The Lynx 14 is a fine camera.
