... I had no intention of spending any money, honest. But after a work meeting nearby yesterday I found myself outside Richard Caplan. Thought I'd pop in, just for a browse.

Oops. I appear to have come out with a secondhand M6. How did that happen?

:)

My first Leica. W00t. Note to self: stop going into camera shops.

Congratulations on your M6 and even bigger congratulations on getting into Richard Caplan, they won't open the door to me! You must be better dressed :)

Either that or they could tell I was weak-willed :)

There's a lot of used M6s around at the moment and the price was right. Now I just have to sell some unused stuff, like a kidney or a lung.

This is where I went to check out the M8. Very, very dangerous place. Made an oath to change side of the street when I am passing by. (As if that helps any - I then go to the website to check the goodies) :bang:

PS. Congratulations on the new camera. Enjoy!

Checked out the M8? And walked out without one of those silver boxes?
You're a strong man....:p

Congratulation to you! On the contrary, I often feel angry/upset when get out of a camera shop empty hand. Unfortunately it always happens.
Lucky you to have came out with a nice babe!:D

The light was good this afternoon so I've just put a roll through it wandering around the local streets. Lovely to use, feels good in my hands. I really like the metering display.

I suppose one salesman held you down while the another stuffed it in your pocket and a third went for the money.

Enjoy. you will like it

It's like you were there, that's exactly what happened (that's my story, and I'm sticking to it) :)

I got caught like that a few years ago - went in to buy a used M6 and 35mm 'cron - came out with a brand new black paint MP and a Tri-Elmar.

I could have sworn I distinctly heard myself saying "no, I'll take the M6", but my bank manager said differently ;)

Just processed my first roll through the M6. In fact, my first roll ever through any Leica. Results look OK, looking forward to getting a chance to find some more interesting subject matter.
