I sent my M8 away to be repaired, about two weeks shy of it's warranty expiry date (phew). At the moment, I'm using my Hexar AF and Hexar RF with 35 Summicron, 50 Summilux and 21 CV.
I'm happy with my kit, but there are three photo itches that I've never scratched, but which have, for the last two or three years, been mainstays of my covetous imagination:
Mamiya 7II
35mm Summilux
Contax G2 (Black!)
I'll never, ever buy any of these, though, because they're superfluous (the Mamiya, well, maybe not)
But, I will always love the idea of owning them....

My itch can only be cured with a big shot of penicillin, but probably a Noctlux would suffice as well

film is exciting
I'm really finding myself wanting a black M8 with a V3 35mm Cron. But Id settle for an M8 on its own

Of the mentioned cameras - Mamiya 7II definitely deserves reconsideration, IMO. It's a pure joy.

A really top notch Rolleiflex, too.
I generally look at Pentax 67's when cruising on Ebay and there was one for sale cheap recently. It would probably have ended up as a sculpture on my desk. I imagine them to be HUGE beasts.
It's a weird thing, this camera lark. If ever I fantasise about getting very rich, my first thoughts drift to what sort of camera I'd buy (which really isn't enough of a motivation to get very rich!)

An M9, certainly; I'd love to have camera that does what my Ms do but is digital. But with the price-tag the thing carries it just isn't going to happen.

Me too. Rented one once. The IQ is outstanding. Would prefer the Mamiya 6 though.
I'd really like one (either) I've only taken medium format photographs on a Mamiya 1000, and while I really like the results, it's impossible to take out and about (due to it's size, weight etc).
I was lucky enough to pretty much start taking (lots) of photographs with an M8, but sometimes I feel like selling the Leica M equipment, getting a decent mid range digital (maybe 4/3) and a Mamiya 7II for fantasy exhibition photographs....

More time to shoot.
As much as I talk about gear here, that is mostly at night (..or during slow moments at work..) when I'm not out taking pictures. Beyond that, maybe an infinite supply of 1600/3200 speed film so I can shoot more at night.
Frankly, I'm too cheap to buy a M series rangefinder (let alone the lenses I'd want) or a 7II. That kills most of the itch gear right there.

Gandolfi Precision 5x7 inch on whole-plate body. But I have a Variant and a Technika V in that format so I'm not too worried.
Otherwise: bodies, nothing past or present (who knows about future?). Lenses... well, several. WATE. All the current Summiluxes. Noctilux....

Mamiya 6 or maybe even a Bronica RF645 as the prices are so good.

Noctilux, and a black paint M4 or MP.
An M9 would be tempting but I'd imagine I'd get frustrated with predominantly shooting digital again and sell it at a loss a few months later, so a Nocti and a black paint M4 or MP

Shooter of Film...
For me it would be the Nikon F3HP w/MD-4 attached...
I would need to rid myself of a few extra bodies I do have, and don't use, to justify (or not feel guilty) owning this one...
The F3 is a want not a need but either way it still itches...
